Hello Kingdom friends and family, on June 30 and July 1, an individual who later tested positive for COVID 19 was present in our cafe.

Our highest priority is the wellbeing of our staff and customers. For this reason, we have been trying to get the most thorough information about this situation as possible and respond in an efficient and appropriate way. This notice is one part of that response.

Greene County Health Department has informed us that this individual was in the cafe during the afternoon on both Tuesday, June 30 and Wednesday, July 1, but we do not know the exact times. If you were in the cafe on either of these days, especially in the afternoon, please be aware you may have been in contact with a person carrying COVID.

What counts as close contact?

  • You were within 6 feet of someone who has COVID-19 for at least 15 minutes
  • You provided care at home to someone who is sick with COVID-19
  • You had direct physical contact with the person (touched, hugged, or kissed them)
  • You shared eating or drinking utensils
  • They sneezed, coughed, or somehow got respiratory droplets on you

If you meet these criteria, the CDC suggests you take the following measures and precautions:

  • Stay home for 14 days after your last contact with a person who has COVID-19
  • Watch for fever (100.4◦F), cough, shortness of breath, or other symptoms of COVID-19
  • If possible, stay away others, especially people who are at higher risk for getting very sick from COVID-19

Steps Kingdom is taking to try to help prevent the spread of COVID 19:

  • We wear masks when interacting with customers
  • We are installing a barrier at the register
  • We are taking extra measures to clean tables directly after use
  • Testing employees temperatures before their shift

We are still offering curbside pickup if you do not wish to enter the cafe space where other customers may be seated.

Please wear a mask in public for the safety of yourself and others.
